Discontinuation Of PRiMOS: Submission Of IPS Application Via Hard Copy Only

22 Apr 2021

Ref No: 220421 (1)
UEN: S97SS0046G

The Association would like to inform our members that it is no longer necessary to subscribe to PRiMOS for the purpose of applying In-principle support (IPS) online. Both ASPRI and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will completely discontinue the use of PRiMOS with effect from 1 May 2021. The only mode of IPS application would be via hard copy to MOM. Please click here to view the hard copy form.

ASPRI has been receiving feedback from many of our members that they found PRiMOS to be unnecessary since it no longer served the following original purposes:

By using PRiMOS, members companies needed to pay a monthly fixed fee of $95 plus $1/worker/month. Amidst this pandemic, there is a stronger urge for the Association to help our members to reduce any unnecessary expenditure.

Furthermore, the usage by Plant Owners and the authority for processing IPS application via PRiMOS have plummeted tremendously over the years. As such, claims of PRiMOS irrelevancy were strongly echoed by ASPRI members.

Thus, ASPRI and MOM have withdrawn all support for PRiMOS and will discontinue the usage of this system completely. Plant Owners Users, namely: ExxonMobil, PCS, Shell Bukom, Shell Seraya and SRC have been informed of the above-mentioned as well.

You may refer to this MOM website: In-principle support (IPS) for process maintenance workers which indicates that MOM is accepting IPS application via hard copy. If you need any clarification, please feel free to contact Kenneth at kenneth@aspri.com.sg. ASPRI will continue striving to serve you better.

Our Warmest Regards,

ASPRI Secretariat
