Launch of Workplace Safety and Health Council’s Foreign Workers Dormitory Roadshows

23 September 2016

On 23 September 2016, MOS Tan visited The Venue Residences to launch WSH Council’s foreign workers’ outreach roadshows. This launch is part of WSH Council’s Awareness Booster Campaign to reach out to all workers on the ground.

MOS Tan visited the dormitory that was located on site and presented pictogram posters to workers. The pictogram posters are visual reminders to workers to “Look, Think and Do” at work and feature simple and practical steps that they can take to prevent injuries. To further reinforce the importance of “Look, Think and Do”, a SISO officer conducted a short safety talk and the WSH Council screened “Dreams”, a video that highlighted the message that if workers want to fulfil their dreams, they have to keep themselves safe and healthy.

MOS Tan reminded workers that they had left their loved ones to work in Singapore in order to provide a better life for their loved ones at home. This would only be possible if workers kept themselves safe and healthy at work.

This roadshow is organised by the WSH Council and supported by City Developments Limited (CDL) and Dragages Singapore.
