Dear Valued ASPRI Members,

Overcoming COVID-19 Together: PM Lee’s remarks on 3 Apr 2020

Earlier today, PM Lee delivered his remarks on the evolving situation of COVID-19. Instead of tightening incrementally over the next few weeks, the government made a decisive move now, to pre-empt escalating infections. The measures are expected to reduce the risk of a big outbreak occurring and gradually bring our numbers down.

Please note the key updates following this evening’s press conference.

Following PM Lee’s remarks, ASPRI has clarified with Enterprise Singapore (ESG) on the definition of Essential Services on behalf of our Members. We are pleased to inform you that broadly for ASPRI, services relating to the refining, supply, distribution and storage of essential fuel products, and their contractors are part of Essential Services.

However, individual company is still required to seek approval on a case-by-case basis. Please login to https://covid.gobusiness.gov.sg/ using your CorpPass to submit your details by end of 13 Apr 2020 (Mon). Please indicate your essential key clients in the application and allow 48 hours or so for a response. Kindly note that after approval, companies are still required to practice the enhanced safe distancing at all times.

For further clarification, please refer to the appended full list of essential services and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). You may also contact ESG at 6898 1800 or SafeDistancing@enterprisesg.gov.sg

Please take care and stay vigilant and safe. Thank you.

To comply with the above-mentioned measures, please note the entire ASPRI Secretariat at TA Hub will be working from home from 6 April 2020, Monday. Our office phones will still be manned and diverted to the duty Executive.

ASPRI-IPI will continue operations at the ASPRI Integrated Training Centre (AITC) and trainings will proceed as usual.

The above arrangements will be in place until further notice. ASPRI will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates accordingly. The Association remains committed to serving you and we thank you for your kind understanding and patience.
