Replacement of Mobile vehicle verification with auto vehicle verification
As part of JTC’s efforts to increase productivity and drive for automation, JTC will be introducing a new Vehicle Automatic Clearance System (VACs) to augment the existing wireless Mobile Verification (MV). VACs will bring about faster vehicular clearance and reduction in manpower required. Please see attached brochure on VACs.
JTC has successfully completed the trial for the VACs kiosk at PDL Hall C, which started in May 2018. Moving forward, the VACs will soon be implemented in phases at the Jurong Island Checkpoint starting with Phase 1 for the PDL Arrival Halls, starting from 10 Sep 2018. Drivers clearing at PDL Arrival Halls A to D will be required to perform self-clearance at the VACs kiosk. Phase 2 will include the rest of the checkpoint and is targeted to take place in Dec 2018.
Please notify your transport providers/contractors of the up-coming changes (particularly buses and people movers). There will be Aetos officers stationed at the VACs to guide the drivers through the new system.
