ASPRI Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021

Time flies and once again, ASPRI Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021 is around the corner. This year’s AGM will be on 21 July 2021 (Wednesday), 3:30pm (please enter from 3:00pm for verification).

In consideration that the current COVID-19 situation is in the heightened alert phase, ASPRI will continue convening our AGM virtually this year. Please refer to Annex B below to register early for the virtual ASPRI AGM 2021. Meanwhile, members are encouraged to email their proposed agendas or questions to president@aspri.com.sg no later than 5 July 2021 (Monday), 3:00pm.

Procedures for Passing Resolutions

As advised by the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Passing of Resolutions are to be done virtually. This means we would require Proposers and Seconders before confirming and adopting the resolutions.

For the passing of Resolution 1: To confirm and adopt the Minutes of last AGM, the Proposers and Seconders need to be ASPRI Corporate Members who were also present in last year’s AGM. For the passing of all other resolutions, the Proposers and Seconders only need to be ASPRI Corporate Members.

If you would like to propose or second a resolution, kindly use the “Raise Hand” function in Zoom and we will temporarily allow you to speak. Once you are allowed to speak, kindly state your name and the company you represent so we could verify your attendance in last year’s AGM.

ASPRI AGM 2021 Lucky Draw

As a gesture of appreciation and goodwill to our members, we will be conducting a lucky draw at the end of the AGM. All eligible attendees of the AGM will qualify for the lucky draw which is worth around $15,000!

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the lucky draw, an ASPRI member must:

Register for the AGM by 14 July 2021 (Wednesday)
On the day of AGM, enter the meeting room latest by 3:30pm
Stay until the end of AGM

Mechanics

ASPRI will conduct the lucky draw virtually by spinning two online wheels to determine the prize and winner for each draw. The first wheel will contain photos of all ten prizes, while the second wheel will contain all names of AGM attendees that meet the above criteria.

Once the first wheel has stopped spinning, the photo that falls on the arrow will be the prize for that particular draw. When the second wheel stops spinning, the name that falls on the arrow will be the winner for said draw.

Once the winner has been revealed, he/she has to acknowledge in the chat box within 07 seconds. If not, ASPRI will re-spin the wheel to select another winner. Each attendee may only win one prize. Therefore, his/her name will be removed from the wheel after the draw. This process will be repeated until all 10 prizes have been won.

To ensure time efficiency, ASPRI will be inputting the names of AGM registrants onto the wheel before the AGM. During the AGM and before the lucky draw commences, the wheel will be updated to exclude anyone who failed to attend the AGM or has left the meeting room before the AGM has ended (see Point 3 of Eligibility Criteria).
