WSH INNOVATION AWARDS 2023 (RESULT)
We are pleased to announce the winners for this year’s WSH Innovation Awards. The judging session was held on May 2023.
The WSH Innovation Awards is presented by the WSH Council and is supported by the Ministry of Manpower. It recognises organisations and individuals who have achieved excellence in workplace safety and health.
The winning companies have proven that despite the pandemic, they are still able to innovate and improve safety standards of our industry.
The winners are (segregated into 3 levels – Gold, Silver and Bronze):
GLAXO WELLCOME MANUFACTURING PTE LTD
Project Title: Integrated Glovebox Charging System
Project Summary: Technicians charge solid raw material into V106 reactor vessel (containing methanol solvent) via an open manway.
HAI LECK ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD.
Project Title: HAI LECK ONLINE BBSO & FEEDBACK PLATFORM
Project Summary: This project was founded on an innovative design by the administration to enhance a fantastic safety culture to establish excellent safety standards, providing solutions for migrant worker’s welfare based on input from all employees through online BBSO and online feedback form.

Project Title: Trailer Bed Railing
Project Summary: Elimination of fall from height hazard at worksite to work on top of trailer bed by implementing engineering control
ARLANXEO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.
Project Title: HYDRAULIC COVER RAMP CYLINDER REMOVAL
Project Summary: There are 6 nos. of Hydraulic cylinders in each baler cover ram in the finishing production line. Preventive/Corrective Maintenance (PM/repair work) regime has been implemented for each unit

Project Title: Mobile Hydraulic Welding Machine Lifter
Project Summary: The innovation committee recognized that Welding Machine Mobilization is the most frequently executed work prone to relatively high risks due to its primitive execution method.

Project Title: EASY STEP
Project Summary: Previously, management received a safety concern from the client about the challenge experienced by the workers while performing welding machine inspection as well as diesel top-up. It was perceived that while worker follow safety compliance (pre-use inspection), at the same time they inadvertently put themselves at-risk.
