Event Synopsis: To promote the Process Industry’s adoption of Digitalisation, Innovation and Technology, ASPRI is thrilled to invite you to be part of the pilot group for ASPRI's Digitalisation Initiative, the Digitalisation Readiness Index (DRI). Organised by ASPRI's DITA (Digitalisation, Innovation and Technology Adoption) Workgroup, this DRI is specially tailor-made by the industry in consultation with renowned Consultant, BDO for our Process Construction and Maintenance (PCM) Sector and aims to help members assess and facilitate their digitalisation journey. Together with representatives from Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and Cybersecurity Agency (CSA), participants will go through the DRI questionnaire and provide feedback before the industry launch. Participants will receive a customised DRI report with benchmarking and action plans upon completion of whole process. 20 July 2022, Singapore - Following a two-year hiatus, The Assocation of Process Industry (ASPRI) convened an in-person Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel which was well attended by approximately 80 individuals from 61 member companies. Mr Charles Quek, President of ASPRI’s 13th Executive Council, commenced the AGM and in his opening address highlighted key achievements throughout the association’s 25-years journey. Charles further outlined the evolution of the industry and the need for ASPRI and members to pivot towards a greener future.Charles concluded his address by expressing his heartfelt gratitude; “As this is my last message as President, I like to seize this opportunity to thank the many wonderful people I have had the pleasure to work with, within ASPRI and in the larger process industry and the PCM sector and in Government, during my 20 years in the Executive Council, including the last 10 years as President. ASPRI has had many challenges over the years, but you have come alongside to journey with me. With your support, we have helped built ASPRI into an organisation we can all be proud of.”The Passing of Resolutions & Dialogue Session The AGM saw the passing of resolutions which includes ASPRI’s 14th Executive Council headed by a new president, Mr Danny Chua. After the AGM was officially closed by Mr Chua, each of the newly-elected Council Member took the chance to share with the members on what they would like to achieve during their tenure as ASPRI’s 14th Executive Council.ASPRI would like to thank all members and stakeholders for taking time to attend the AGM, as well as your continuous support over the past years. ASPRI will continue working together with our members to achieve the transition for a greener and more sustainable future.

ASPRI celebrated its 25th Anniversary on 20 Jul 22 at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront. The gala dinner was graced by Guest-of Honour, Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and, Second Minister for Trade and Industry, in the presence of over 600 guests. The gala commenced with a spectacular laser show unveiling ASPRI’s tagline:” towards A Sustainable PRocess Industry” signifying ASPRI’s aspirations for the process industry.Attuned to the theme of sustainability, the first recycled repercussion group in Singapore showcased a drumming performance using reused materials from the industry such as steel and PVC pipes, wire mesh, contributed by one of its member companies, Mighty Engineering Pte Ltd.“ASPRI has come a long way in the past 25 years. Today marks a pivotal point for ASPRI to work towards the industry’s next 25 years growth. The road ahead for most part, is more ambiguous than clear. But with today’s launch of our Digitalisation Readiness Index (DRI) and commencement of our 4C framework, we look forward to an exciting new chapter in our history as we celebrate the achievement of our past 25 years”, Mr. Danny Chua, the newly elected 14th ASPRI President, in his maiden speech, shared the optimism with members before launching a video to commemorate ASPRI’s 25th Anniversary.The key highlight on the evening was the launch of the PCM Industry DRI. Launched by Minister Tan, Mr. Chua, ASPRI’s President, Mr. Charles Quek, ASPRI Immediate Past President (IPP), Mr. Steven Nah, Lead of ASPRI’s Digitalisation, Innovation and Technology Adoption (DITA) Workgroup, Mr. Soh Leng Wan, Assistant Chief Executive (Manufacturing & Engineering), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Mr. Leong Der Yao, Assistant Chief Executive (Sectoral Transformation), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Mr. Dan Yock Hau, Assistant Chief Executive, National Cyber Resilience.
