Please be informed that WSH Council has announced that employers will have the OPTION to send their workers for synchronous1 “Online Learning and Assessment for Safety Orientation Courses (SOCs)” with effect from July 2021.
Synchronous1 learning refers to a learning event in which a group of participants is engaged in learning at the same time. In this context, meaning all registered trainees logging on the Zoom platform to attend the learning and assessment at the same given time.
SOCs applicable are:
- WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Construction Sites (16hrs)
- WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Metal Work (9hrs)
- WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (9hrs)
- Construction Safety Orientation Course-Recertification (5hrs)

Employers are advised to take note on the requirements imposed by WSH Council on your workers’ synchronous online learning and assessment:
ASPRI-IPI will offer Synchronous Online Learning and Assessment with effect from 02 August 2021, member course fee and 90% training subsidy for ASPRI-WESTLITE Papan residents remain unchanged.
