As per the press release from the Ministry of Manpower, newly arrived foreign employees approved for entry into Singapore and staying in dormitories will have to stay at a designated facility to go through an additional 7-day testing regime, after completing their 14-Day Stay-Home Notice (SHN) – with effect from 6 January 2021.
The workers will be able to move into their dormitories only after completing the additional testing regime. This is an additional precaution taken for newly arrived foreign workers that will live in dormitories. The Government will bear the costs for the additional accommodation and tests for foreign employee(s) for the time being, and will review this at a later stage.
