The EDB Central COVID-19 Operations team has provided an update regarding the latest announcement on the simplified Safe Management Measures (SMM). Please refer below:
“Marine & Process Sectors will stand down all mandatory Rostered Routine Testing (RRT) from 18 February 2022 onwards as announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) on 16 February 2022. Mandatory Fast and Easy Testing (FET) RRT scheduled on 17 February 2022 will continue to be taken by respective individuals and uploaded into the Health Promotion Board’s Swab Registration System by today.”
“Marine & Process companies are encouraged to continue testing with remaining Antigen Rapid Test (ART) kits that were provided by the government, at appropriate intervals based on the company’s own risk assessment. Marine & Process Companies can use EDB’s Worksite Transmission Risk Assessment Matrix to assess their own worksite’s risk level to determine own company’s appropriate voluntary test regime thereafter.”
