ASPRI Annual Process Industry Prosperity Lohei resumes after three years!

3 Feb 2023 – Association of Process Industry (ASPRI) hosted the ASPRI Process Industry Prosperity Lohei 2023 on 3
February 2023 at Marina Bay Sands for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic. The annual flagship event was graced by Guest-of Honour, Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Manpower & Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, in the presence of over 550
 guests. 

ASPRI Process Industry Prosperity Lohei 2023 on 3 February 2023 held at Marina Bay Sands. Mr Danny Chua, President of ASPRI’s 14th Executive Council presenting a S$80,000 cheque to Associate Professor Kenneth Low (Cluster Director, Engineering) Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) for the establishment of Association of Process Industry (ASPRI) Bursary.

To profile Singapore’s Process Industry to local engineering talents, ASPRI established a S$80,000 bursary that will support financially disadvantaged but deserving students pursuing various full-time undergraduate engineering degrees at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). The ASPRI Bursary, comprising of 16 bursaries valued at S$5,000 each, will be disbursed over the next 4 years. 

Apart from giving back to the larger community, the Association hopes to generate the right awareness and understanding of Singapore’s Process Industry to our varsity students, and would like to extend an invitation to aspiring graduates to join us in our transformation towards a more sustainable process industry. 

Mr Steven Nah, Secretary of ASPRI’s 14th Executive Council and Lead of Digitalisation, Innovation & Technology Adoption (DITA) Workgroup, shared on the Progress of Digitalisation Readiness Index (DRI) since it was launched during the Gala Dinner on the 20th July 2022, as well as our commitment to spearhead the industry into Industry 4.0.

The highlight of the event was the Presentation of Star Award, accorded to individuals or organisations who have made significant contributions to the success and development of Singapore’s Process Industry, to our longest-serving President, Mr Charles Quek, CEO of HSL Constructor Pte Ltd and Immediate Past President of ASPRI’s 14th Executive Council.
