Seminar on opportunities in the Oil & Gas sectors in UAE
Seminar Synopsis
ASPRI, together with Association of Marine Industries (ASMI), UAE Singapore Business Council (UAESBC) and the UAE Embassy in Singapore, jointly present this 1.5 hour sharing session and Q&A discussion about Oil and Gas opportunities in UAE.
This seminar is targeted for ASPRI and ASMI members interested in exploring opportunities in the UAE region, specifically in the Oil and Gas sector. Through the seminar, participants are able to obtain first-hand information on opportunities in the Oil and Gas Sector in the UAE, as well as some practical and useful outlook.
It will conclude with the call to action of joining the UAE interest group to participate in a business mission to UAE from 22 – 28 October 2022.

1. His Excellency Jamal Abdulla Al Suiwaidi, UAE Ambassador and UAE Singapore Business Council (UAESBC) Patron
Prior to his accreditation as Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Singapore, Ambassador Jamal Abdulla Al Suwaidi served as the Deputy Manager in the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE since 2019 and as the Head of the Political Content & Media Section at the Office of the Minister from 2015 to 2019. 2. Dr Brian Shegar, President of UAESBC
Dr Shegar established ME Asia Pte Ltd as a consultancy to assist Singapore and Asian companies in their business development aspirations in UAE and the Middle East. That same year, he was instrumental in establishing the UAESBC to promote greater business connectivity between UAE and Singapore where he is the Founding President. You may read his full bio here.
3. UAE Singapore Business Council (UAESBC)
The UAESBC is a business organisation registered under the Singapore Registry of Societies. It was formally established on 22 March 2018 by the founding President, Dr Brian Shegar, who still heads the Council today. The Council is made up of representatives of companies as well as individuals who are, or aspire to be, part of the Singapore-UAE business nexus. You may read more on UAESBC via their website here.
