As announced by the Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF), the reversion to Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) measures will take effect from 22 July to 18 August (both dates inclusive) which will supersede those that were introduced on 19 July 2021. This is to contain the growing COVID-19 clusters linked to the Jurong Fishery Port, while also pushing ahead with the vaccination of individuals.

Safe Restart Criteria
In consideration of the escalating numbers of community linked and unlinked cases, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) reinforces the Marine and Process (M&P) companies to ensure all dormitory and non-dormitory workers strictly comply with the COVID Safe Restart Criteria.

Antigen Rapid Testing (ART) and ART Pilot Programme
In view of the active community clusters with high risk of transmission, the risk of community infection to the worksites is concerning. Companies are therefore strongly encouraged to implement onsite Antigen Rapid Testing (ART) for non-dormitory workers. The ART complements the current Rostered Regular Testing (PCR).
The ART serves as an additional layer of risk mitigation measures to minimise the risk of any potential community spread into the work zones by detecting early signs of infection. This allows worksites to continue to operate in a COVID-Safe environment.
EDB is currently supporting M&P companies in the ART pilot programme. For the ART pilot. the ART test kits are fully subsidised by the Government until further notice. Interested companies may register via https://go.gov.sg/edb-register-art.
