IMPORTANT: Compulsory Online Submission of Essential Employees’ Details
IMPORTANT: COMPULSORY ONLINE SUBMISSION OF ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEES’ DETAILS
As the number of new infection cases continue to rise, stricter measures to control the flow of essential employees/workers in the workplace must be put in place.
As such, businesses performing essential services and those that have received an approval for exemption are required to submit details of their essential employees/workers to authorise them to work at office or site from 19 April 2020, Saturday onwards. The form for the submission of employee/workers’ details is available at https://covid.gobusiness.gov.sg and is to be done daily, before 12.00pm.
If staff is not in the list, they will not be allowed to go to work. The Government takes a serious view of any infringement and will not hesitate to take actions against non-compliant businesses. Under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act passed in Parliament on 07 April 2020, first-time offenders will face a fine of up to S$10,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both. Subsequent offences may face a fine of up to S$20,000, imprisonment of up to twelve months, or both.
