Dear Valued ASPRI Members,

iWorkHealth launched at the 9th ‘Together Against Stigma’ Global Conference // Join us at the Logistics Fair 2019! // Industry Workshop

Singapore hosted the biennial ‘Together Against Stigma’ international conference to discuss stigma issues that continue to plague persons with mental health conditions. The event saw the sharing of best practices and insights to bring about greater awareness of the importance of mental well-being.

President Halimah Yacob, who graced the Conference as the Guest-of-Honour, addressed the significant impact of mental health issues on the workforce and announced the soft-launch of iWorkHealth at the event. She urged organisations to continue to build supportive work environments, where employees are encouraged to look after their mental health.

iWorkHealth is a free online psychosocial health assessment tool for organisations and their participating employees to identify workplace stressors so that appropriate interventions can be implemented to foster mental well-being and build mental resilience.

The online tool is jointly developed by the Ministry of Manpower’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Institute, the WSH Council, Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Health Promotion Board (HPB) and Changi General Hospital. It is part of Singapore’s WSH 2028 Strategies to create a healthy workforce in safe workplaces.

The Conference is co-hosted by Singapore and the World Psychiatric Association (Mental Illness and Stigma Section). It is led by IMH and the National Council of Social Service, and co-organised with the Agency for Integrated Care, HPB, MINDSET Care Limited and the Singapore Psychiatric Association. Over 500 local and international delegates from the healthcare and social service sectors attended the event which took place from 3 to 5 October 2019 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
