[Event Recap] ASPRI Process Industry Prosperity Lohei Dinner 2024: A Roaring Welcome for the Year of the Dragon

Association of Process Industry (ASPRI) hosted its much-anticipated, annual flagship event: Prosperity Lohei Dinner at Orchard Hotel Ballroom on the evening of February 21st, 2024. The event was graced by Guest of Honour, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr Alvin Tan. With more than 650 distinguished guests in attendance, the evening was filled with dazzling performances, exquisite cuisine, laughter-filled conversations, and overall camaraderie

The evening commenced with a warm welcome from ASPRI’s President, Mr. Danny Chua, whose inspiring speech set the tone for the festivities to follow. Mr Chua recapped on the ASPRI Bursary that was established last year to aid deserving students pursuing selected Engineering degree programs at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT). These deserving students & their learned skillsets, represent the future & the agents of change for our industry.

A significant moment unfolded with the presentation of the ASPRI x SIT bursary certificates to students, Mr. Lee Ho Ming and Mr. Toh Xun Jie. Though not present, Ms. Latha Eunice and Mr. Chua Cheng Han were acknowledged for their achievements as well.

Despite being a young association, ASPRI reflects on the challenges and changes in the industry over its nearly three decades of existence. From climate change to the latest reduction in dependency ratio, the industry must continue to find ways to thrive in this transition. One of which is to leverage on technology to increase productivity, to do more with less. Members can refer to the list of relevant industry pre-approved solutions with available grants here.

ASPRI also encourages collaboration within the industry, exemplified by recent international partnerships such as the MOU signings with The Malaysian Oil, Gas & Energy Services Council (MOGSC), Myanmar Oil & Gas Services Society (MOGSS) and The Association of Singapore Marine & Offshore Energy Industries (ASMI) in September 2023.

ASPRI extends heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, esteemed members, and generous sponsors whose unwavering support contributed to the resounding success of the dinner. Your commitment and dedication are invaluable, paving the way for continued collaboration and growth within the industry.
